As the principal designer at Jaunt, I was responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive design system using Figma, ensuring consistency and scalability across all digital products. I led feature development, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centered design solutions. Additionally, I conducted design research to inform and refine design decisions, helping to enhance the overall user experience and drive product innovation.

Role and responsibilities
AI-Driven Content Templates / Led the end-to-end development of intuitive, AI-powered content templates, starting from user research and wireframing to final implementation. This included collaborating with engineers to integrate AI capabilities that assist users in crafting engaging long-form content with researched prompts.
Personalized Content Recommendations / Partnered with product and engineering teams to define the user experience for AI-powered recommendation systems. Developed mockups and prototypes, conducted usability testing, and ensured the final feature seamlessly integrated into the platform, helping users discover content tailored to their preferences.
Accessibility and Inclusivity/Advocated for inclusivity throughout the feature development lifecycle by designing accessible solutions such as AI-assisted captions, light and dark modes, and scalable interface options. Conducted regular audits and collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure accessibility standards were met from prototyping through launch.
For core pages like explore, slideview and feed, I focused on clarity, consistency, and a seamless flow of information, ensuring each page was visually engaging and aligned with the platform’s goals. I also designed global elements, such as navigation, buttons, and headers, to be intuitive and responsive across devices, providing users with a consistent, frictionless experience no matter where they are on the platform.
Core pages
Designing core pages and global elements for Jaunt involved creating a cohesive, user-friendly experience across the entire platform. My approach was centered around maintaining a strong visual identity while optimizing usability, ensuring both new and returning users could easily navigate and engage with the content.
Modules
Creating modules like upload, sharing, searching, and notifications involved designing intuitive, user-centric features that enhance the overall experience on Jaunt. For the upload module, I ensured a smooth, step-by-step process that allowed users to easily share content in various formats. Each module was designed to work harmoniously within the platform, ensuring ease of use and a consistent experience.
The sharing module was designed to be simple and seamless, enabling users to quickly distribute content within the platform or externally.
For searching, I focused on making the experience fast and efficient, with intelligent filters and AI-driven recommendations to help users discover relevant content.
The notifications module was crafted to keep users informed without overwhelming them, providing clear, timely updates that enhanced engagement while being mindful of user preferences.
Account pages
Designing essential framework pages like profile, login, and other core functionality pages for Jaunt involved focusing on both usability and a cohesive visual identity.
For the profile page, I created a customizable, user-friendly layout that allowed individuals to showcase their content and engage with others while keeping the design clean and organized.
The login page was designed with simplicity and security in mind, ensuring easy access while maintaining a smooth, seamless authentication process across devices. A helpful onboarding screen helped users fine tune the content based on the categories they select.
Other core pages, such as settings, privacy, and help, were carefully crafted to provide intuitive navigation and quick access to important features, all while maintaining consistency in design and user experience. These pages formed the backbone of the platform, ensuring that users could easily interact with and manage their Jaunt experience.
02 Research
Conducted an in-depth user research to gather insights that informed the platform's design and functionality. My responsibilities included conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to identify pain points, preferences, and behavior patterns. I collaborated closely with product and design teams to ensure that research findings were translated into actionable recommendations, helping to shape a seamless and engaging user experience before launch.
Research goal
Conduct a through evaluation of current functionalities, including sharing, uploading, and browsing. Identifying any challenges users may when they interact with the working prototype and explore potential features that could enhance overall experience.
